It is important to follow your child’s interests by carefully observing them and their cues as they engage in the following activities.
The first 8 weeks is characterized by a feeling of basic trust that the environment will respond to the needs of the child. Your child is transitioning into the world and some even call it the fourth trimester! Skin to skin contact is recommended to build unity between the adult and child. During this phase your baby will demonstrate reflex actions to touch, sense and understand the world around them. These actions will become more purposeful as the infant grows.
